The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) released Telecom Subscription Data as on October 31, 2020. During the month, Bharti Airtel again managed to beat Reliance Jio in monthly subscriber additions, and the story of Vodafone Idea remains the same. According to Trai, Airtel added 3.67 million new customers in October, whereas Jio managed to add just 2.22 million users. Vodafone Idea, on the other hand, lost 2.65 million existing users....

Bharti Airtel, the second-largest telecom operator in India, has announced its financial results for Q2 FY23. The telco has reported its average revenue per user (ARPU) figure to be Rs 190 during the quarter. This means that Airtel is again leading in the ARPU segment. Telecom operator, Bharti Airtel, is shifting its focus on digital as it acquires Warburg Pincus affiliate’s 20% equity share in its DTH arm Bharti Telemedia. The total valuation of this purchase is Rs 31,260 million (Rs 3,126 crore). In a press statement, Bharti Airtel said the total valuation would be discharged primarily via issuance of around Rs 36.47 million equity shares of Airtel at a price of Rs 600 per share and up to Rs 10,378 million will be paid as cash....

Bharti Airtel has revised its Airtel Xstream Fiber plans in cities where the company offers its services through the franchise tie-ups with Local Cable Operator (LCO). The company in its first-quarter report for the period ended June 30, 2020 said that LCO model is live in 14 cities across India.
