Both these cities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir would have several areas/sites with 5G services from Airtel. In a phased manner, Airtel would expand the 5G Plus services to other parts of the state, including Ladakh. Both Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) might get a total of Rs 22,000 crores back from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) if they opt for the moratorium of spectrum payments for the next four years. The Rs 22,000 crores in concern here are the Bank Guarantees (BGs) that the telcos had provided to the DoT. The Supreme Court (SC) has directed the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to not invoke bank guarantees (BGs) against Bharti Airtel. The government was seeking the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues from Bharti Airtel that Videocon Telecommunications (VTL) owed. The amount sought by the telecom department was Rs 1,376 crore. According to an ET Telecom report, DoT had ordered Bharti Airtel to pay the due amount within a week or else it will have no other option but to invoke the bank guarantees....

Bharti Airtel has added 0.85 million customers in February this year, while Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio Infocomm added 6.25 million, according to the data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Monday.
