Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) are expected to see higher average revenue per user (ARPU) in the second quarter of FY22. The analysts believe that because of the removal of the base plan (Rs 49 plan) by both the telcos, their ARPU will see a 4.5% to 6% sequential growth. At the same time, both operators will also see a higher subscriber churn rate because of the increase in tariffs....

Motilal Oswal Financial Services in a note highlighted that the operator in the past four years with its India mobile business recorded a 40% earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) growth. The Indian diversified financial services firm said that the EBITDA growth “created a healthy” Rs 120 billion to Rs 150 billion FCF generating capability for Airtel....

The stimulus worth for VRS would be Rs 14,000 crore for both the telcos. The IANS report also reveals the same; A total of Rs 74,000 crore would be provided as part of the revival package, in which Rs 22,000 crore would be used for acquiring 4G spectrum....

BSNL has finally started offering the newly launched affordable Bharat Fiber broadband plans in annual payment option. Apart from the Bharat Fiber Rs 449 plan, the remaining four plans- Rs 599, Rs 799, Rs 999 and Rs 1,499 can now be subscribed for one year. So far, these plans were offered on a monthly basis, but going forward, customers can choose them for one year. If a customer opts these plans for one year, BSNL provides an extra one month of service, making it a total of 13 months....
