Long Term Prepaid Plans and Concerned Competition The first plan that will catch your eye when you scroll down to the long-term prepaid section is the Rs 999 prepaid plan, and it comes with 90 days validity and 60GB data. In this plan, the subscribers also get 100 SMS per day, the unlimited calling benefit and the subscription to Reliance Jio apps. However, if you look at the plan closely, you will find that there is another prepaid plan from Reliance Jio which offers the same validity, more data and is almost half the price of the long-term prepaid plan by Reliance Jio. The plan that we are talking about is the Rs 449 plan which ships 91 days validity, and in this period, the total data benefit is 136.5GB. This plan also comes with the unlimited calling benefit, 100 SMS per day and the subscription to Reliance Jio apps. Even for the 2GB per day plan, Reliance Jio offers 182GB data, and the plan is available only for Rs 498. As you can see, in the Reliance Jio prepaid portfolio itself the daily data prepaid plans trump the long-term offerings by a long shot. The benefits in the daily data limit plan are twice or more than twice for half the cost of the long-term prepaid plans. Airtel Prepaid Plans Priced Half of Long-Term Prepaid Plan Even in the case of the Airtel prepaid portfolio, the Rs 399 plan can be compared with the Rs 999 long-term prepaid plan. This plan by Bharti Airtel offers 1GB data per day, and it comes with 84 days validity. Not only this, but it also ships unlimited calling benefit, 100 SMS per day and other additional benefits as well which include Norton Mobile Security, Wynk Music, Airtel Xstream App premium, and free 4-week course on Shaw academy. Yearly Long-Term Prepaid Plans Follow the Same Suite The case is similar for other long-term prepaid plans as well. For example, the long-term prepaid plan by Reliance Jio for 360 days validity is available for Rs 4,999, and it offers 350GB data in this period. As opposed to that, Bharti Airtel ships a Rs 1,699 prepaid plan which comes with 365 days validity and it offers 511GB data in this period, with 1.4GB data per day. Hence, the users are forced to spend almost the three times of the normal amount on their long-term prepaid plan, and the benefit that they get is no daily data limit. Hence, subscribers should keep note that in case you would like to access more data per day, then an add-on pack would be the better choice to go if it’s a very situational need. Else, you could also opt for a plan with a higher daily data limit. But, the only thing that the long-term prepaid plans offer is the no daily data limit, but they also charge a high amount from the consumers for it.
